Jinho: Hey, Peter, isn’t it almost your American Thanksgiving holiday?

Peter: Yeah, Thanksgiving is always the fourth Thursday in November. It’s too bad  I’ll have to miss spending it with my family this year though.

Jinho: Yeah, you’re probably upset about that. What does your family usually do for Thanksgiving?

Peter: Well, there are football games that come on each Thanksgiving, and I always watch them with my dad and my brothers.

Jinho: What kind of food do you eat?

Peter: Well, we always cook a big turkey, and mashed potatoes and yams are my other favorite foods.

Jinho: That sounds delicious. I hope you don’t feel too bad about having to spend your Thanksgiving in Korea this year.

Peter: No, it’s not that bad. In fact, I hope to have a big dinner with some friends; we’re all going to celebrate together.

진호: 피터, 미국 추수감사절이 거의 다 되지 않았어?

피터: 응, 추수감사절은 항상 11월 네 번째 목요일이야. 그런데 올해는 가족과 함께 보내지 못하게 돼서 너무 아쉬워.

진호: 그래, 속상할 거야. 너의 가족들은 추수감사절에 주로 무엇을 해?

피터: 글쎄, 추수감사절마다 미식축구 경기가 열려서 아버지와 남동생들과 항상 같이 봐.

진호: 음식은 어떤 걸 먹어?

피터: 음, 항상 큰 칠면조를 요리하는데, 으깬 감자 요리와 얌도 내가 가장 좋아하는 음식이야.

진호: 맛있을 거 같은데. 올해 한국에서 추수감사절을 보내야 한다고 너무 속상해하지 않으면 좋겠어.

피터: 아니, 그리 나쁘지도 않아. 사실, 몇몇 친구들과 저녁 만찬을 먹고 싶은데 우리는 함께 추수감사절을 기념할거야.
