“Do You Know Where I Can Get a Coat?”

어디서 코트를 살 수 있는지 알아?

두 개의 의문문을 한 문장으로 합쳐서 말할 때는 뒤 문장을 평서문의 어순으로 바꾸어 연결합니다. 예를 들어, “Do you know?”와 “What is his name?”이라는 문장을 한 문장으로 말할 경우, “Do you know what his name is?”로 물어보면 됩니다.

Peter: I hear the winter is awfully cold here in Korea. I think I need a thicker coat.

Jinho: You are definitely going to need a better coat. Yours looks more like a  jacket.

Peter: Jinho, do you know where I can get an inexpensive coat?

Jinho: There are a lot of shops in Doota in Dongdaemun. Try there.

Peter: Isn’t that one of the tall buildings? Do you know which floor would have guys’ clothing?

Jinho: Off hand, I’m not sure, but they should have a store guide at the main entrance with that information.

Peter: OK. I’ll check it out tonight. I don’t want to freeze to death.

Jinho: OK. Call me if you have any problems.

피터: 여기 한국은 겨울이 엄청나게 춥다고 하던데. 나한테 더 두툼한 코트가 필요한 것 같아.

진호: 당연히 더 따뜻한 코트가 필요할거야. 그 옷은 그냥 재킷처럼 보여.

피터: 진호, 어디에서 저렴한 코트를 살 수 있는지 알아?

진호: 동대문에 있는 두타에 옷가게가 많이 있어. 거기 한 번 가봐.

피터: 고층 빌딩 중 하나지? 몇 층에 남성복이 있는지 알아?

진호: 지금 당장은 모르겠고, 정문에 그런 정보를 알려주는 매장 안내원이 있을 거야.

피터: 알았어. 오늘 밤에 가봐야겠어. 얼어 죽고 싶지는 않거든.

진호: 그래. 무슨 문제라도 있으면 나한테 전화해.
