“Is It the One by Guri Station?”
구리역 근처에 있는거야?
앞에서 언급한 막연한 대상을 다시 말할 때는 그 명사를 반복하지 않고 one으로 표현합니다. 그 명사가 대화에서 반복되어 서로 알고 있는 경우에는 앞에 the를 붙여 표현합니다.
Jinho: Mira, guess what? I finally found a job!
Mira: Really? That’s the cat’s meow! Which one did you take?
Jinho: The one at the pet store. I have to feed the animals and clean their cages.
Mira: Wonderful! Which pet store is it? Is it the one by Guri Station?
Jinho: Yeah, that’s the one. Didn’t you just get a couple of guinea pigs from there?
Mira: Yep, I sure did! I got the black ones with the white bellies. They’re so cute!
Jinho: They look cute and they make cute noises, but they stink to high heaven. Take all of them!
Mira: I can only afford the ones I got! I don’t have money coming out of my ears, you know.
진호: 미라, 있잖아, 나 드디어 일자리 찾았어!
미라: 정말? 아주 잘됐는데! 어떤 일자리야?
진호: 애완동물 가게에서 일하는 거야. 동물들 먹이를 먹이고 우리를 청소해야 해.
미라: 잘됐네! 어느 애완동물 가게야? 구리역 근처에 있는 거야?
진호: 응, 바로 거기야. 너 거기서 기니피그 한 쌍 사지 않았어?
미라: 응, 그랬지! 배가 흰색인 검정 기니피그를 샀어. 너무 귀여워!
진호: 귀엽게 생겼고 귀여운 소리도 내는데 냄새는 정말 지독해. 다 사가지 그래!
미라: 내가 산 것만 감당할 수 있어! 나 돈이 그렇게 많지 않은 거 알잖아.
