다른 일을 찾을 때까지는 그만 두지 않을게.
quit는 주로 stop, give up 등과 같이 ‘(일 등을) 그만두다, 중지하다’ 뜻으로 쓰이지만 위 문장과 같이 ‘~에서 물러나다, 사직하다’의 뜻으로 쓰일 때는 leave과 바꿔 쓸 수 있습니다.
Mira: Hey Jinho, can I talk to you for a second?
Jinho: Sure, Mira. What’s up?
Mira: I don’t know what to do about my job. I got moved to the night shift.
Jinho: Oh, no! I’m leaving for the military base in two weeks too. What are Peter and Betty going to do?
Mira: I don’t know how I’ll survive without hanging out with them. I’m thinking about quitting.
Jinho: Don’t ever quit, Mira. I can’t quit the military, although I’ll be working around the clock.
Mira: You crack me up. Don’t worry. I won’t quit until I find another job.
Jinho: That shouldn’t take too long. You’ll knock your interviewers’ socks off!
미라: 진호, 잠시 얘기할 수 있을까?
진호: 물론이지, 미라. 무슨 일인데?
미라: 직장을 어떻게 해야 할지 모르겠어. 야간 근무조로 옮겨졌거든.
진호: 이런! 나도 2주후에는 부대로 떠나야 하는데. 피터하고 베티는 뭘 할 거지?
미라: 내가 그 친구들을 만나지 않고 어떻게 살지 모르겠어. 그만둘까 생각중이야.
진호: 절대 그만두지 마, 미라. 난 하루 24시간 내내 일한다고 해도 군대를 떠날 수 없잖아.
미라: 정말 날 웃기는구나. 걱정 마. 다른 일을 찾을 때까지는 그만 두지 않을게.
진호: 그리 오래 걸리지 않을 거야. 너는 면접관들을 감동시킬 거야!
